The procedure is performed as follows:
Step1 – Consultation
Our ophthalmologist will carry out a detailed examination of your eyes.
Step 2 – Preparation
After application of a few anaesthetic drops to your eye, a special ring is placed onto
the eye to hold it open
Step 3 – Preparation
Our surgeon will proceed to create a small corneal flap on the surface of your cornea.
Step 4 – Treatment step1
The “hinged” corneal flap is carefully pulled back and a small
area of your cornea is exposed
Step 5 – Treatment step 2
The excimer laser beam is applied to reshape the exposed corneal area, removing certain parts of the tissue with high precision.
Step 6 – Treatment step 3
The corneal flap is the pressed back into place.
